Rajinikanth’s elder brother Sathyanarayana Rao on Sunday said that the Superstar would make an announcement on his political plans after the release of his forthcoming film ‘Yanthram’.
Speaking to reporters in Tiruchy, where he attended a function organised by Rajini fan clubs, Sathyanarayana said, “Rajini’s full concentration is now on ‘Yanthram’. He has been working hard for the movie. He would make a decision on his political entry after the completion of the film.”
Stating that he was not in Tiruchy to hold any consultation but to attend a function organised by fan clubs, the Superstar’s elder brother said the matinee idol would make a right decision (on political entry) and announce it at a right time.

They won’t pay an extra dollar for a Passat over a Camry just because of its finesse and attention to detail.” It is this “size matters” thinking that has the diminutive VW Up in peril. The second vehicle to be produced in Chattanooga—beginning in mid-2011—will be a new medium-size crossover to compete with the Toyota Highlander.
The other parts of VW’s U.S.-specific product assault will be assembled in Mexico. The next Jetta will enter production in late 2010. It will be assembled alongside a smaller four-door sedan based on the new Polo beginning in 2012.

Just Cause movie on the way
With Swedish developers Avalanche Studios wrapping up work on the sequel to 2006’s sandbox action romp Just Cause, news emitting from Hollywood is that a movie deal has been reached. Adrian Askarieh who has previously landed rights and set up other Eidos’ properties ‘Hitman’ and ‘Kane & Lynch’ with movie deals is once again at it. After making Hitman into a successful movie (a sequel is on the way) Askarieh is looking to secure around $30 million in independent financing.

After Bangaram...sandya back to telugu
Popular South Indian actress Sandya, who shot to fame with the critically-acclaimed Tamil love story Kaadhal in 2004, will be the heroine in a Telugu film tentatively titled Hasini. The State award winning actress will be essaying the title role in this heroine-centric film, directed by Ramana Reddy with Kamalakar of Abhi fame as the hero. Produced by Kamalakar Reddy, the film was launched at Annapurna Studios on Wednesday. Politician Y.V. Subba Reddy switched on the camera and Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy sounded the clapboard. Marudhuri Raja has written the dialogues and Koti scores music.
Sandhya is currently busy with six films: Aptharakshaka, Nanda (Kannada), D-17 (Malayalam), Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, Nootrukku Nooru and Odipolaama (Tamil).

Ram Charan seeks lover boy image
After playing a brave warrior in his latest blockbuster Magadheera, Tollywood's new sensation Ram Charan Teja is getting ready for his next big budget film to be directed by Bhaskar of Bommarillu and Parugu fame.
Sources say that the actor will play a playboy in this untitled film. Director Bhaskar has deliberately chosen this character for Ram Charan to give him the lover boy image, instead of action hero image that he attained through Chiruta and Magadheera. Ram Charan has reportedly removed his moustache and beard and will sport a completely new look in this flick.

The film titled Ek Niranjan, featuring Prabhas and Kangana Ranaut
The film titled Ek Niranjan, featuring Prabhas and Kangana Ranaut, commenced shooting on Tuesday at Lahari Park in Hyderabad. This film is being produced by Adithya Ram under the banner of Adithya Ram Movies and directed by Tollywood’s top director Puri Jagannath. This film is a mainstream mass masala film with equal doses of romance, action, entertainment and emotions.
Ek Niranjan will be completed in one schedule of shooting that will be concluded in July and will be released in August.
The star cast of the film includes Sonu Sood, Mukul Dev, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Ali, Sunil, Posani Krishna Murali, Makarand Deshpande, Sangeetha and others.
Eenaadu logo launched
The logo and trailers of actor Kamal Haasan's upcoming Telugu film Eenadu (Unnai Pol Oruvan in Tamil), being directed by debutant Chakri, will be launched on August 29 in a star-studded event in Hyderabad. Music, composed by Shruti Haasan, will be launched in the first week of September.The makers UTV Motion Pictures and Kamal’s Raj Kamal Movies are planning to release the film on September 18. Amma Art Creations has bagged the distribution rights of the Telugu version.
Tilte Ganga..............venkatesh ?
Victory Venkatesh, currently busy shooting with director Sreenu Vaitla for Namo Venkatesa opposite voluptuous Trisha, is likely to play the role of a mafia don in director Amma Rajasekhar's next film tentatively titled Ganga.
According to sources, noted art director Thota Tharani is building a huge house in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Jointly produced by Nallamalupu Bujji and Suresh Babu, Ganga will be launched once Venkatesh completes Namo Venkatesa. More details are awaited.
Venkatesh is now canning a song with Trisha for Namo Venkatesa in the picturistic locations of Iceland, one of the most desired destinations for South Indian film makers these days. Venkatesh plays the role of a ventriloquist in this flick produced by Anil Sunkara, Achanta Gopinath and Achanta Ram under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment.

Being a prime distributor and a big producer, Dil Raju is virtually controlling the releases of big movies these days. Since all the producers of big movies want to have a comfortable space between their releases, they need one reference point to set their release date. After Magadheera release, it was Dil Raju who had big releases like Mallanna and Josh. Since he fixed Josh date as 3 September, Sankham got postponed to 11 September. Banam and Eenaduare coming on 16 and 18 of September respectively. Ganesh (bought by Dil Raju) will be releasing on 23/24 of September.
Allu Arjun not doing Dostana
When approached by idlebrain.com, Allu Arjun denied that he is doing the remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dostana. This news which was initially splashed on a few gossip sites made its way to television media through a couple of channels. Allu Arjun said that he is currently doing three films (Arya 2, Guna Sekhar directorial venture and Vedam) which are under production. His next movie is going to be Badrinath to be directed by VV Vinayak.
Quick Gun Murugan Reddy controversy
Rajendra Prasad acted in a film titled Quick Gun Murugan which is due for release in India and abroad (except for AP) tomorrow. He played the title role. However, a recent controversy sparked off because of the titling of villain name in that movie as ‘Rice Plate Reddy’ (played by Nassar). There were severe protests on using Reddy’s name prominently for the villain characters in the movie.
Shahid-Priyanka display their real life chemistry!
At the recently held Rajiv Gandhi awards ceremony in Mumbai, Priyanka Chopra was at her uninhibited best when her KAMINEY co-star Shahid Kapur made it for the event to collect his award for the 'Best Actor'.
Says a source who was present at the event, "She was so elated seeing him sitting in there that she just could not hold back her enthusiasm. She actually walked up to him in the midst of a performance and took him by the hand to the stage where the two danced to some of Bollywood's latest tracks. This spectacle was witnessed by the 2000 odd eyes present on the occasion. After insistently denying their affair, all pretence was lost when Priyanka's doting eyes fell on none other then her alleged beau."

She has also been making her presence felt in Bollywood in the year gone by with three complete films - KHALLBALLI - FUN UNLIMITED, CLICK and LOVE KHICHDI. She is Sadaa Sayed, who has worked with the biggest of banners down South and is now making her debut in Bollywood with Randeep Hooda starrer romcom LOVE KHICHDI.Since KHALLBALLI - FUN UNLIMITED and CLICK feature her in a solo lead, wouldn't she have ideally wanted them to release before LOVE KHICHDI. After all there are chances of attention being divided due to presence of six other females - Riya Sen, Divya Dutta, Rituparna Sengupta, Sonali Kulkarni, Kalpana Pandit and Jessy Randhawa?

Says Sadaa after a pause, "Yes, that would have been good too and wouldn't have been harmful at all. But then look at this way, if these films would have released earlier then I would have been known amongst the audiences to some extent at least. 11th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF): A Treat for film buffs to be held from Oct 29 to Nov 5, 2009
11th Mumbai Film Festival is back! Organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), the 11th edition of the festival is scheduled to take place from October 29 to November 5, 2009 in Mumbai, the film capital of India. A Reliance Big Entertainment initiative MMF has the distinction of being the only international film festival in India to be organized by an independent body of practicing film professionals. A five member international jury will include celebrated Hollywood scriptwriter, director and Martin Scorsese's long term collaborator Paul Schrader (script writer for the cult film TAXI DRIVER & co-writer of RAGING BULL amongst others) and eminent Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi (who has been awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival for his work)
