South Indian superstar Rajinikanth, who agreed to launch the audio version of Tamil (Maaveeran) with a superstar-turned-politicianChiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja in 2009 hit TeluguMagadheera not turned up at the event on April 16 in Chennai.
According to reports, the actor canceled the program in order toavoid a confrontation with the press and their questions in themiddle of the election controversy in Tamil Nadu. The plan was thatChiranjeevi would release the audio by presenting it to Rajinikanth.
The actor has landed in controversy when it was rumored by sometelevision stations casting his vote in favor of a political party, incontradiction with the principle of secrecy of the ballot box.
There were rumors that the election commission is to carry outre-vote in the constituency, where the Thousand Lights actorRajinikanth was supposed to clear the channels of casting his votein favor of one party.
