Just Cause movie on the way

With Swedish developers Avalanche Studios wrapping up work on the sequel to 2006’s sandbox action romp Just Cause, news emitting from Hollywood is that a movie deal has been reached. Adrian Askarieh who has previously landed rights and set up other Eidos’ properties ‘Hitman’ and ‘Kane & Lynch’ with movie deals is once again at it. After making Hitman into a successful movie (a sequel is on the way) Askarieh is looking to secure around $30 million in independent financing.

After Bangaram...sandya back to telugu

Popular South Indian actress Sandya, who shot to fame with the critically-acclaimed Tamil love story Kaadhal in 2004, will be the heroine in a Telugu film tentatively titled Hasini. The State award winning actress will be essaying the title role in this heroine-centric film, directed by Ramana Reddy with Kamalakar of Abhi fame as the hero.

Produced by Kamalakar Reddy, the film was launched at Annapurna Studios on Wednesday. Politician Y.V. Subba Reddy switched on the camera and Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy sounded the clapboard. Marudhuri Raja has written the dialogues and Koti scores music.

Sandhya is currently busy with six films: Aptharakshaka, Nanda (Kannada), D-17 (Malayalam), Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, Nootrukku Nooru and Odipolaama (Tamil).

Ram Charan seeks lover boy image

After playing a brave warrior in his latest blockbuster Magadheera, Tollywood's new sensation Ram Charan Teja is getting ready for his next big budget film to be directed by Bhaskar of Bommarillu and Parugu fame.

Sources say that the actor will play a playboy in this untitled film. Director Bhaskar has deliberately chosen this character for Ram Charan to give him the lover boy image, instead of action hero image that he attained through Chiruta and Magadheera. Ram Charan has reportedly removed his moustache and beard and will sport a completely new look in this flick.
